Update on monster storm...

Weather Forecast:
Part 1: update on storm...
Part 2: westport weather...

Part 1:

well clean up is still under way, but the continued rain and wind is not helping at all. Still many without power and will likely stay that way until potententially Friday for some... The hardest hit area seems to be extreme southern New England (coastal CT), Long island, and coastal NJ where winds reached 78 mph (hurricane force) and rains were up to 7 inches!!!! Roads are still under water, but that biggest story I said would be the downed trees... Trees caused the death of at least 5 people, knocked out electricity, and caused unreal damage to houses, buildings, and properties... Since my town was one of the hardest hit, you can expect photos and videos sometime this week... I also wanted mention some schools, including mine, are closed for now the second day and some may be closed Wednesday as well... As for the up coming weather from this storm you can expect showers of different rates tonight... Some heavy, some light... That will come to an end from west to east by 8 or 9 AM tommorow morning... Expect sunshine by 3 or 4 PM tommorow for most areas...Also, believe it or not, don't be surprised if you have some wet snowflakes mixing in later tonight...

Part 2:

Well the clean up goes on and yes... ALL WESTPORT PUBLIC SCHOOLS ARE CLOSED!!!!... This is the first time in a while that westport public schools have been closed two days in arrow... And not even due to snow!!!! Lots of people can't take this storms after math and hundreds have moved to hotels like the Westport inn... The westport inn is now completely booked and so are many other hotels around fairfield county due to the storm... People have actually gone as far as the city!!!!.... Currently the chance of no school on Wednesday is 35%... as for Thurday it is 15% and Friday it's 5%... You can see the after math of this storm is just crazy, and as mentioned in part 1, i will have video of all of Westport and the damage plus photos some time this week... Right now it's very hard to access internet and im lucky i have a generator, otherwise i would not be blogging at all... Still, i cannot get most models so i'm basically looking at radar and websites for my forecast... For Westport, They currently say by 8 PM Wednesday night there will be power on for everyone... My forecast is that some people won't have electricity until 12 PM on Thursday... The damage will likely cost hundreds of millions of dollars, according to our first select man... I think it will take until at least this weekend until all the damage is cleared... If you drive down Old Hill Road that is where you'll find some of the worst damage... Also any of the side roads of Old Hill will probably have bad damage as well with trees down just about everywhere... As for how the weather goes for the rest of today and tomorrow it will look like this... Tonight expect showers, some moderate, with a lot of clouds around... Don't be surprised if we still see wind gusts to 35 mph... By tomorrow the showers will end completely by 6 or 7 AM, and by noon don't be surprised to see some blue skys with temps around 60!!!! Perfect for a clean up day!!!! That's it for now, i will keep you updated...
