Northeast and Mid-Atlantic have another snowstorm potential

Northeast/ Mid-Atlantic:

The storm that brought nearly a foot of snow to mass. and parts of NH and VT has finally exited and is off to canada.
I do see a small clipper system that should come across some of the area tomorrow and with still somewhat mild conditions. NYC should see some snowflakes in the morning quickly changes to a couple of sprinkles and rainshowers. North of there we could see some snowshowers even though i think hartford and boston will switch to a light mix for the late morning hours and someone in the NY, VT, NH, area will pick up a quick 1-3 inches at the most. Now on to the more exciting stuff!
I do see a lot of the models now picking up on a snowstorm late thursday into friday. I would start to get excited in areas like DC, Baltimore and Philly, but north of there it will be a close call. I can see in those areas we could see anywhere from 3-6 maybe 8 inches of snow! It's weird to think that because of the current thaw.
Actually this small clipper should cool down temperatures nicely so instead of being in the 50's across Dc and Baltimore and even Philly, and seeing temp's in the upper 40's around NYC and boston, we should look for mid to upper 30's across NYC and Boston and lower 40's and maybe some upper 30's (especially in the higher elevations) across DC, Baltimore and Philly. SO all the more reason for a chance of snow.
In areas like NYC, Hartford and Boston, i wouldn't give up on this storm just yet. The storm right now slamming California with heavy rain, gusty winds, and mountain snow could still sneek through the country and come off the coast slightly more to the north then expected. So we shall see over the next couple of days what should happen. And for those of you that are afraid winter is over... well its not!!! and some models are already beginning to show a cold start to our Feburary which would be nice for the snow lovers like me. I should have another post comming up sometime after 3:00 PM tomorrow.
