Part 1:
Well originally it seemed like a 3-5 day warm weather streak... But what about now? Well it seems today was the hottest day and tomorrow it should be closer to 50 or 55 rather than 60, and now it seems that 50-55 degree mark will stay with us for more like a 7-10 day warm weather streak. So that will be a nice change for most of us... Now north of I-80 we'll find a 7-10 day streak of 48-52 degrees and south of I-80 we'll find a 7-10 day streak of 53-57 degrees. Now i will tell you the sun will only last for so long... It seems that after Wednesday the clouds will begin to build in and even some rain may be in store as we work toward the end of the week (more on clouds and rain in part 3). So enjoy this heat and be sure to keep checking back just in case anything changes... That's it for now... More on whats going to happen after these 7-10 days next...
Part 2:
The big question that i feel not one weather website or weather channel or any weather source is answering!!!! And the question is... IS WINTER COMING BACK?!?!... The only source i have of this is the models which have been consistently showing that cold air is going to come back... But when? Well as i said before the next 7-10 days look fairly warm, and even the next 10-14 days don't look "cold"... More like "cool"... But after that the models are suggesting at least one cold shot before winter is all set and done... In this shot there may even be some moisture which may mean... Yes... SNOW (for more on the snow go to part 4)!!!! But for now we'll stick with the temperatures... It seems the next 10-14 day will be in the upper 40's for South of I-80 and mid 40's to the North of I-80... So I'll call that "cool"... As we go to the long range forecast of 15-19 days, it seems South of I-80 will be in the lower 40's and North of I-80 will be in the upper 30's... Now will there be moisture with this chill? Well you will have to read the rest to find out but that's it for now... As always, check back for updates!!!!....
Part 3:
Yes there will be PLENTY of rain... In fact, there is a chance it will be an excessive amount... It is also likely to drive people crazy!!!! We are talking the potential for some kind of rainfall for 6+ days!!!!.... It is also likely to be cloudy and gloomy for these 6+ days!!!.... So the current little drought that we are in will end in a hurry... This will also likely cause a flooding problem because there is still snowfall in a lot of areas including NY, PA, VT, MA, NH, and ME... Also a lot of the mountains are still covered in snow... So this warmth+ days of rain= flooding... So that will be something to watch starting this week... The rain and clouds seem to hold off until Thursday for most and again may last 6+ days!!!! So this is a situation i am monitoring and will continue to do so over the next couple of days!!! That is it for now, keep it tune right here for more updates...
Part 4:
Our second big question is ANYMORE SNOW?!?!?!? And yes there are certainly indications of more snow on the way, especially according to the GFS... I would say that we will go snow free for at least 2 weeks... After that there are indications that we may have more snow on our hands in the Northeast! And what about our 17th snowstorm?!?!? Well the GFS still shows it but way off to the south so for now that is off our worry list... But there is some signs that 3 weeks from today we may have some kind of snowstorm or sometime within the 2 1/2, 3 1/2 week time period. Again this is way to far in the future to set anything in stone so for now it is just a prediction... That's all from here, check back soon for more updates on the snow because it will likely change as we get closer to spring!...
Part 5:
Good evening to everyone in Westport!!!! I hope you enjoyed today because we actually reached 60!!!! That is about 15 degrees above average!!!! This warm streak has now been extended for warmth till at least early next week... Even after that it doesn't get too cold... It'll stay in the mid to upper 40's which is more like "cool"... Now enough about the temperatures... On to the Precip... This is a heads up because after Wednesday the sun will go away... and for a while! It seems Wednesday through at least next Wednesday we will find cloudy and rainy!!!! It will really be just a disgusting week... I am predicting that any snow on the ground will probably be completely gone by next Wednesday, and lucky for us we do not have to worry about any flooding... I also wanted to add in that for the next 2 weeks we will be in the clear for snow, meaning NO SNOW... I will not go further then 2 weeks... If you absolutely need to look past 2 weeks for snow, then go back to part 4.... That is it for now... Anymore questions feel free to leave a comment of send me an email at scooterpec@aol.com!!!!
